What the site is

The Margin is a free website that publishes sports ratings, game projections, picks and the record of how they graded. It is run by Jesse McConnell (McConnell Digital). There are no accounts and nothing is sold here. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Not betting advice

Everything on the site is published for information only. Nothing here is betting, financial or other professional advice, and nothing is a recommendation to place a bet. Projections are often wrong, and a past record does not predict future results. If you bet, you are responsible for your own decisions and for following the law where you live.

If gambling is causing problems for you or someone you know, call 1-800-GAMBLER.

No warranty

The site and its data are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind. Numbers can contain errors, arrive late or change after they are published, and pages can change or go offline without notice. The Margin is not responsible for any loss that comes from using the site or its data.

Data and credits

Our own ratings, projections and records are free to use with credit, as described on the open data page. Statistics, betting lines and market prices from other sources belong to those sources and remain under their own terms; they are shown here for comparison. The sources are credited at the foot of every page.
