What The Margin is

A weekly publication of sharp sports projections, backed by a live prediction-market modeling system. Bracket simulators, rating tables, daily weather picks, and the occasional column when something interesting happens.

The pitch

Most public ratings publications give you the table. We give you the table, the model values that produced it, and the calibration record -- including the misses. The plumbing underneath is the same modeling stack that runs our internal trading, so the projections you read here are the ones the system bets on.

Cadence

Bracket-level pages update whenever the underlying field or ratings move. Columns drop Tuesday/Friday during sports seasons, slower in the off-season. RSS and email signup land when we open this up publicly -- for now we're iterating locally.

Naming

The Margin is a placeholder. We'll rename before public launch. Suggestions welcome.
